Ruby Capital is a real estate financing and investment group operating through dedicated business divisions, bringing together financial capabilities, professional expertise, and opportunities across the Israeli real estate market. Our goal is to drive projects forward, support growth, and build long-term partnerships.

Since its inception in 2015, Ruby Capital has evolved from a company specializing in real estate financing into a diversified financing and investment group, with hundreds of projects under financial management, tens of billions of shekels in managed credit facilities, and partnerships with some of Israel’s leading institutional investors and insurance companies.

The Group continues to expand its areas of activity and develop solutions that respond to the evolving needs of the market. Throughout this growth, our approach has remained the same: to see the full picture, understand developers’ needs in depth, and act with professionalism, accountability, and a true spirit of partnership.

Ruby Capital’s activities are supported by professional credit and investment committees comprising senior and experienced professionals from the credit and investment markets. The committees meet regularly and frequently to ensure that underwriting and transaction approval processes are conducted according to rigorous professional standards.

Our Story

Ruby Capital was founded in 2015 by Ilan Rubinstein, Gerson Schapiro, and Andrew Mestel - three partners with extensive business and entrepreneurial experience who shared a common vision: to build a different kind of company. One that brings together financial expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, and long-term accountability.

The company was founded on a combination of international experience, deep knowledge of the real estate market, and Zionist values, together with the belief that lasting business success is built on partnership, trust, and shared value creation.

From day one, the founders set out to build a company that sees developers as long-term partners, combines financial creativity with professional discipline, and is committed to making a meaningful impact - for its clients, its partners, and Israeli society.

  • Ilan Rubinstein

    Chairman and Founding Partner
    Over the past 20 years, Ilan has co-founded and served as a partner at several real estate finance, investment, and development firms in the United States and Israel. Ilan is a partner and co-founder of Ruby Ventures, an international investment firm. He has been a real estate developer, investor and financier, active in both North America and Israel, for over 25 years. Ilan received his BA in Philosophy and History from Yeshiva University. He received his MS degree in Real Estate Investment and Development from New York University (NYU).

  • Gerson Schapiro

    CEO and Founding Partner
    With over 35 years as an entrepreneur and business leader, Gerson has built, grown, and led several successful companies across a range of industries. Before founding Ruby Capital, he was a partner in a global metals trading company with international operations and held senior roles at other ventures, consistently driving their growth and commercial success.

  • Andrew Mestel

    Founding Partner
    Andrew has many years of experience in the trade, financing and marketing of commodities and raw materials in the global market. He also has vast experience in initiating and founding businesses and leading them to growth and commercial success. Born in New York, Andrew holds a BA in Economics with honors from the State University of New York, as well as an MBA with honors from New York University (NYU).
